Imogene Quinley Danley

Mrs. Imogene Quinley Danley of Samson passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Chautauqua Rehab and Nursing Home in DeFuniak Springs, FL. She was 83 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Minister Harry Adkison officiating. Burial will follow in Dannelley Family Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Samson Church of Christ, Samson, AL.

Mrs. Danley was born in Covington County, Al on October 14, 1935 to the late Henry and Lillie Mae Harrellson Quinley. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed making ceramics in her spare time, which was rare. She enjoyed fishing and the many fishing trips she took with her husband. Her heart and soul was doing for and giving of herself to her family, especially her grandchildren, and to friends and neighbors. She was a member of Samson Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, two sisters, Kate Andrews and Annie Lou Kimbril and three brothers, Earl, J.W., and William Quinley  preceded her in death.

Mrs. Danley is survived by her husband of 63 years, Cleveland A. Danley of Samson; children, Sonny Danley (Janet) of Daleville, Tonora Mathis (Jim) of Coffee Springs, Stacy Danley (Arlene) of Samson; seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Merlene Thomas of TN and Glenda White of Paxton, FL, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Andy Danley, Tony Danley, Casey Moore, Zach Dodson, Eric Duncan and Matt Haller.
