Slocomb student signs with Point University

Tanner Berry, a 6’4 205lb wide receiver from Slocomb High School, officially signed with Point University this past Thursday. Point University is a private, Christian, liberal arts University in West Point, Georgia where Tanner will be studying counseling and biblical studies. Berry stated “I chose Point University because it was closest to home and it really felt like home when I visited it twice.” Slocomb High School head coach Richard Tisdale spoke at the signing stating “Only six percent of High School football players get to play at the next level. That’s a very small number so its an honor anytime we have something like this happen and everyone knows Tanner and the work he’s put in.”

Berry stated he’s excited about his future and is ready to see what doors Point University opens for him.
