Mrs. Lloyd was a faithful member of the Opp Church of Christ, and she was a registered nurse for 42 years. Even though she would not admit it, she was an expert seamstress who loved sewing for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Most importantly, she traveled many miles to support the endeavors of her children and grandchildren. She also spent countless hours reminiscing with the BCN (Before Computers Nurses) group. Her overwhelming love for the Lord permeated every piece of her life. She shared that love with each person she met. “Grandmother” became the invisible name badge she wore proudly, as children and adults from across many states called her in greeting. She left behind a legacy of a quiet disposition, a witty sense of humor, a strong will, and a compassionate heart. Her faithfulness to the Lord was her most influential trait, and it is evident through the life she lived and the people she loved.
