Body found in Holmes County identified as missing Geneva man

An autopsy has confirmed Tuesday that the body found in Westville,Fl. is that of 36-year-old Brett Joshua Grantham. The Geneva man was last seen on Aug. 22 in the Franklin Avenue area.
Geneva Police Chief Tony Clemmons says he believes an altercation occurred in Geneva, then the body was transported across the state line to Holmes County.

Two people have been arrested in connection to a the death of Grantham.

Geneva County Sheriff, Geneva Police Department and Holmes County Sheriff reported Monday afternoon that Shane Paul and Rebecca Holt have been arrested and are currently being held in the Geneva County Jail. Paul is being held on murder charges, and Holt is being held for hindering prosecution.

Law Enforcement agencies began investigating the location in northwest Florida last week, after receiving information concerning the body being buried there.

Grantham was recovered on Peak Road, in Holmes County, Friday afternoon. It was determined that he had been there since August.

Geneva County Sheriff’s Department and Geneva City Police Department helped Holmes County Sheriff Department along with FDLE Crime Scene Investigators and ABI.

    It is a sad world that we are living in. People have become so evil. Someone that kills just because doesn’t need a trial. They need immediate death penalty.
