Alice Jacquelyn Folmar McVay
Alice Jacquelyn Folmar McVay was born in 1932 in Covington County,
Alabama. She went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
Alice was a teacher’s aide for over 20 years. She was a member of East Brent Baptist Church and served in the church in many ways including, teacher, WMU, baptism, prayer and the cookie ministry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John N. and Gertrude Folmar; and her three brothers, LaVonne Folmar, Charles Albert Folmar, and Guice Folmar.
Alice is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Donald R. McVay; four children, Mark (Marcia) McVay, Michael (Shana) McVay, June (John) Hoobler, and Jill McVay; five grandchildren, Sarah (Ken) Lovett, Matthew (Emily) McVay, Mary (Josh) Harrison, Jacquelyn (Alex) Daigle, and Jonathan McVay; and seven great grandchildren, Luke, Hudson and Lauren Lovett, James and Rosalyn McVay, and Judah and Oliver Harrison.
Alice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true friend to so many. She loved the Lord with all her heart and demonstrated God’s love through service to others. She will be missed by so many and we look forward to seeing her again in our eternal home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday April 24, 2021 at Faith Chapel South with Bro. Dale Patterson and Michael McVay officiating.
Burial will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 9:30AM prior to services.
Pallbearers will be Matthew McVay, Ken Lovett, Josh Harrison, John Hoobler, Alex Daigle and Jonathan McVay.
