Shirley Harrison Cauley

Mrs. Shirley Harrison Cauley, age 72, of Opp, Alabama passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 in a Dothan hospital.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry E. Cauley; daughter and son-in-law, Sonya Cauley Deakins and John A.; son and daughter-in-law, Tim Cauley and Heather; sister, Vesta Mae Rhodes; brothers, Paul Harrison and Robey Harrison and wife, Martina; sister-in-law, Miriam Cauley Barlow and husband, Mack; grandchildren, Kolby Dyess, Kasey Dyess, Rebecca Layman and husband, Todd, and Brittany Crawley and husband, Derek; great-grandchildren, Lance, Casandra, James and Kynnedi Crawley; numerous nieces and nephews; and church family who affectionally knew her as “Mama Bear”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cressie Redmon Harrison and M. M. Harrison; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Harrison Cauley will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Friendship Cemetery. Arthur “Tiny” Hornsby and Terry Godwin will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Clark, Josh King, Justin Thompson, Gaylon Griggers, Terry Daughtry and Brian Crain. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 until 8.
