Charles Glen Brackin

Charles Glen Brackin of Geneva, Alabama passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. He was 78. 

A private family service was held at Friendship Baptist Church on Saturday with Rev. Reggie McAllister officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Community Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward directing. The family received friends Friday evening, August 13, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home chapel. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Community Cemetery 707 N. Iris St., Geneva, AL 36340 in his memory.

Glen was born on January 24, 1943 in Geneva Co, AL to the late Woodroe and Myrtice Arlene Johnston Brackin. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting, especially dove hunting. He raised black angus cattle for several years after his retirement. He retired from DynCorp as director of operations.  Glen enjoyed relaxing on his porch, late in the evening, and listening to his favorite music. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Ann Brackin.

Glen is survived by one son, Doug Brackin of Geneva, AL; two daughters, Lisa Brackin Wagner (Dewey) of Dacula, GA and Andi Brackin of Geneva, AL; two grandchildren, Hagen Pollard of Dothan, AL and Ronan Brackin of Geneva, AL; one sister, Betty Brackin of Panama City Beach, FL; one brother, Neal Brackin (Maurine) of Geneva, AL; former wives and mothers of his children, Glenda Smartt of Panama City Beach, FL and Gail Lowery of Geneva, AL.
