Covington County Sheriff Blake Turman is calling out the community for help in Louisiana.
He reports that currently the needs are: tarps, gas cans with gas, cases of water, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, zip ties, ear plugs, gallons of water, chainsaws, oil, safety glasses, generators, power cords, work gloves, chainsaw gas, MRE’s, non-perishable food, granola bars, hand sanitizer, deodorant, first aide kits, feminine products, tooth paste, tooth brushes, eye wash, hand soap, laundry detergent batteries, flashlights, medicated powder, baby powder, baby wipes, formula and diapers.
Turman said, “If you have wanted to give back or donate to a great cause this is your chance.”
Even a case of water helps.
A drop off area is located behind the Sheriffs office under the shelter. Donations can be made also, please give them to a secretary. They will leave out Friday evening.
