Patricia D. Rhodes
Mrs. Patricia D. Rhodes, age 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 30, 2022 after a four year battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. She is now free from all earthly pain.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Dubose; mother, Kathleen Schofield; and mother-in-law, Jewell Bess. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Ray Lamar Rhodes; son, Chad Rhodes (Casey); grandsons, Aiden and Connor Rhodes; daughter, Kimberly Sanders (Blake); grandsons, Wayne and George Sanders; father-in-law, Irvin Bess; sister-in-law, Judy B. Holley (John); nieces, Joni Lloyd (Tim), Jana Best (Billy); aunts, Mary Hawthorne, Margaret Butts and Vera Bess; and numerous cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
She worked with the Alabama Baptist State Convention for 15 years and as office manager for her husband’s private practice in Montgomery for 15 years. Shortly after retirement she and Lamar made their home on Point A Lake, Andalusia and Panama City Beach. Boating, fishing and travel became her favorite things to do; but most of all she loved being a grandmommy. She was a member of Bethany Baptist church and was very active in the Ladies Bible Study Group for many years. Her love and devotion for her family was only surpassed by her love for her Savior.
