Zadie Christine Cantor

Zadie Christine Cantor of Geneva passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022.    She was 93. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Devco Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Poplar Head United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.    

Mrs. Cantor was born in Ozark, AL on November 16, 1928, to the late Charlie Oscar Sullivant and Sarah Elizabeth Miller Sullivant.    Prior to her retirement, she worked at Wiregrass Medical Center as a nurse’s aide for many years.    She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cantor; and all nine of her siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Burgess of Geneva, and Diann Newsome (Larry) of Fayettville, GA; son, Eddie Earl Cantor (Norine) of Flowery Branch, GA; six grandchildren, Tina Ellis, Doug Newsome (Barbara), Stephanie Burgess, Jennifer Burgess, Justin Cantor (Heather), and Spencer Cantor; thirteen great-grandchildren, Heather, Rebecca, and Bryan Ellis, Aaron and Callie Newsome, Jonathan Burgess, Maubee Shultz, Levi Cantor, Dallan Cantor, Declan Cantor, and Olivia Jasmin Cantor.
