Terry Dwain “Honk” Yarbrough of Geneva, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was 63 years old.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Maple Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Earles and Bro. Allen Bunbrick officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Yarbrough was born in Geneva County, AL on May 7, 1959 to the late Willie “A.C” and Caron Jones Yarbrough. Honk believed in working hard. He demonstrated that daily by working multiple jobs at Reliable and Walmart each and every day. He also enjoyed working with the Geneva Police Department helping at events such as: high school football games, patrolling streets during hurricanes and the River Festival.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Louise “Lockett” Yarbrough; two brothers, John and Hubert Yarbrough; two brothers-in-law, Donnie H. Carroll and Ray Lolley.
He is survived by one daughter, Casey Holtum (Josh); one son, Levi Yarbrough (Brittanie); six grandchildren, Garrett Adams, Hayden and Owen Holtum, Brylen, Brennan, and River Yarbrough; siblings, Franklin Jones (Elouise), Edward “Eddie” Yarbrough, Emma Lou Carroll (Jolley), Lannett Weeks (Dwight), Jerry “PeeWee” Yarbrough (Karen), and Rachel Yarbrough; two sisters-in-law, Carol Yarbrough, and Linda Yarbrough; 13 nephews and nieces; and many special friends.
