Dorothy “Dot” Belle Griffin Anderson Enfinger

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Belle Griffin Anderson Enfinger of Geneva, AL, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. She was 90 years old.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 2 PM with Rev. Ricky Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Head Community Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 1PM.

Dorothy was born in Dale County, AL, on April 23,1932, to Leon Lee and Ruby C. Gavin Griffin. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother who dearly loved her children. She was an accomplished seamstress. She worked at the Geneva Piggly Wiggly, and she later went to work for the Geneva County Health Department where she retired as the Public Relations Speaker for the State of Alabama. She was a faithful member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alton “Pete” Enfinger, the father of her children Cecil Anderson, brothers George “Buddy” P. Griffin, Charles Leonard Griffin, and her sister Mavis Leonia Griffin.

She is survived by three daughters Donna Anderson Dawson of Pensacola, FL, Linda Anderson Hutto (Butch) of Geneva, AL, and Debbie Anderson Fernald of St. Petersburg, FL, step-children Natasha Enfinger Reynolds (Kin) of Fairhope, AL, Michael Enfinger (Sherry) of Coffee Springs, AL, grandchildren Dr. James F. Shiver (Debby), Martee Howell Leib (Matthew) both of Enterprise, AL, Bradley Alan Fernald (Adrian) of Atlanta,GA, Jonathan Eric Fernald (Countney) of St. Petersburg, FL, Jerry Dawson, Jr. (Kerianne), John Lynn Dawson both of Cantonment, FL, great-grandchildren Candice Elaine Shiver, John Casey Shiver, Kirstin Marie Shiver all of San Antonio, TX, Thomas Dakota Dykeman (Bethany) of  Colorado Springs, CO, Gabriella Kay Fernald, Sebastian Laurance Fernald both of St. Petersburg, FL, Taylor Dawson, Sydney Dawson, Adelyn Benz, Anthony Dawson all of Pensacola, FL, Kimberly Morse of Orlando, FL, Julia Jones(Zack) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Kaitlin Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Eden Leib, Tristin Leib, Kenneth Leib all of Enterprise, AL, great-grandchild Dexter Dykman of Colorado Springs, CO, brother Leon Lee Griffin Jr, Orlando, FL, special friend Joanne Milton of Samson, AL, along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Maple Avenue Baptist Church of Geneva, AL.
