Red Level man arrested for child porn

September 22, the Covington County Sheriff’s Office, Investigator Blayne Pruett arrested a Red Level man for 12 counts of possession of obscene matter, and 2 counts of dissemination of obscene matter.

Investigator Pruett received information from the Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Using this information which was also provided by Microsoft, Investigator Pruett was able to locate, interview, and arrest the offender.

A consented search of several electronic devices presented hundreds if not a thousand images of obscene material that involving children. Procedures were followed and Jessy Folmar was arrested.

Folmar is currently incarcerated at the Covington County Jail. He is retained with a $560,000 bond.

“Our children are under attack. Protect your kids,” said Sheriff Blake Turman. “As a parent, you have the authority not only to raise your child but protect them. If you are leery of anything of this nature, call law enforcement.”
