Kay MacLennan Kross
Kay MacLennan Kross passed away on February 7, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas after a short illness. Mrs. Kross was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 8th, 1942, daughter of the late Dr. Edward Reynolds MacLennan and Helen O’Neal MacLennan of Opp, Alabama.
Mrs. Kross is survived by her husband Walt Kross; her daughter Karin Kross Levenstein (Bruce) of Austin, Texas; her grandson, Edwyn; her sister, Margaret MacLennan Hunt ( Ed) of Rome, Georgia; nephews Edward Hunt Jr (Jenny)of Rome, Georgia, and Michael Hunt of Vinnings, Georgia; several great nephews and nieces; and extended family Jeff Kozak (Karie) and their children, Kyle, Ryan, and Emma of Prospect, Kentucky.
Kay graduated from the University of Alabama and was a devoted fan of their football team, traveling to many of their championship games. Following graduation, she married Walt, the love of her life, and they were married for 56 years. Both Walt and Kay proudly served the United States Air Force and the nation for 34 years, after which they retired to Destin, Florida and then to San Antonio, Texas.
A private memorial will be held at later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Dr. & Mrs. E.R.
