Samson police chief relieved of his duties
Update: Sources say that Hill’s wife, Pam Hill, has also been put on administrative leave. This has not been officially confirmed. Pam was an employee at the Samson City Hall.
Original story:
In an a special called city council meeting, Samson has relieved Jimmy Hill of his duties as police chief, placing him on administrative leave.
Stepping in is Lieutenant Chris Miranda, who assumes the role of acting chief.
The specifics surrounding this decision remain undisclosed.
The Geneva County Reaper will update once more information becomes available.
What’s the big secret all about. How do you put someone on administrative leave along with there wife who is also employed by the city of Samson and not let the public know your reasoning for such action? That’s how rumors and gossip get started. We know the city council did not make this decision because they ate to many doughnuts at the local bakery and didn’t save any for the rest of the police force in Samson, all 2 of them. This should be real interesting when the truth comes out!
This is ridiculous. What’s the reason for the city council to take such action against the chief and his wife? One thing is for sure. It’s not gonna be for Jay walking in front of the Piggly Wiggly. This should be good!!
Actually there’s more than 2 police in Samson. If you riding through or by city hall majority of the time they are parked either on side parking lot of city hall in the old bank building or either parked in the rear of the building where the police station is now. Usually 2 is out riding and 3 stay at the station from what I’ve ebeen told according to the one I’m friends with that use to work for dothan pd and now has worked for samson for 6 years now, besides one who’s a ex hubby to a friend of mine.. police task force is a come and go job. One hardly stays in place for a lomg time without moving around unless it’s made specified to be stay put
I really hated to hear this I thought chief Hill was doing a fine job. I hope everything works out in his favor he seems like a good man for the job.
