Lynn Pearson Franklin

Lynn Pearson Franklin of Auburn passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday October 6, 2023. She was 83. Lynn was born in Aimes, Iowa to Dr. Robert and Sara Pearson who later moved to Auburn and made it their lifelonghome. Lynn graduated from Auburn High School in 1958. She later attended Auburn University and the University ofAlabama. Lynn had three children from a previous marriage before she wed Thomas Allen Franklin in 1977, they had one child together and were happily married for 46 years. Lynn cherished her family and was a devoted friend to many.She was a member of Auburn United Methodist Church.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Watt Pearson and Robert Pearson. She is survived by her husband Thomas A Franklin, her children Lisa Solomon McBride, son Carey Solomon (Denise), Shannon Solomon and Lauren Franklin Mullins (Tenil) and grandchildren Andrew McBride, Forest McBride (Ari), Kailynn Solomon, Hunter Solomon and her sister Sally Pearson Battles (Ronnie).

A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 2 p.m., at Jeffcoat-Trant funeral home in Opelika, AL. Following the service there was a brief visitation with the family in the lobby. Burial followed and was for immediate family only.
