Two suspects arrested for November shooting

Opp Police Department has apprehended two suspects related to a shooting that took place on Morning Star Drive on Nov. 16. A 20-year-old male was injured in the incident, suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

The two suspects, Jabaari L. Hill (18) and Raheem S. Bonam (25), both from Opp, were detained and have been formally charged with attempted murder. The police department is actively seeking a third individual, Jakelleus A. Lane (18), who is also from Opp and is wanted on charges of attempted murder.

The injured man, whose identity is being protected, is receiving treatment at a hospital in Dothan. He is in stable condition and is expected to be discharged soon.

The law enforcement officials continue to work diligently to collect evidence and pursue justice. The Opp Police Department remains committed to ensure the safety and well being of the community.  The investigation into this case is ongoing.
