Opp Community Christmas
https://www.oppnewsonline.com/event/opp-community-christmas/Location: Sign up will be at the First United Methodist Church Grace Building at 303 East Ida Avenue.
When: Friday, November 6 during the hours of 8 am-12 pm and 4-6 pm.Due to the COV-19 virus, masks and social distancing will be required.
For children 12 and under. Assistance for the first 100 children registered for families with Opp addresses. Must have correct sizes for shoes, jackets, cloths and diapers.
Application will be available the day of sign up. You must bring all required documents the day of sign up:
Valid driver’s license; social security card (copy); proof of income (no handwritten notes); proof of guardianship (if applicable); EBT card (if applicable); child’s social security card (copy); child’s birth certificate (copy).Providing of documents is parent or guardian responsibility. Your documents will be checked prior to filling out an application. If you do not have the necessary documents you will have until the end of the day to provide them and may return to complete the application.

Flag Retirement
https://www.oppnewsonline.com/event/flag-retirement/Opp’s AMVETS Post 23 will be holding a Flag Retirement on November 11, at 9:30 a.m. The event will be held behind the city pool. Anyone who has a flag that needs to be retired can drop it off to the Opp Chamber of Commerce, at the Depot.

AMVETS Post 23 of Opp will be hosting a Veteran’s Recognition Luncheon on
Saturday, November 14, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at The Opp Depot on Main Street.
Any honorable veteran, male or female, and their family members are invited and urged to attend.
